The program is broken into three distict components: 1) preaching; 2) teaching; and 3) testing.  The project requires a complete month of active participation by the fellowship.  The report presents as well a foundation from which to approach spiritual gifts.  Fundamentally, the report expresses a broader definition of spiritual gifts so as to include all of God's gifts.  These gifts are expressed in terms of creation, humanity, salvation, and history.  In order to achieve the above, the report also includes a section that details a particular understanding of the gifts given in history. Research into the process of Indochinese migration into Australia also is included.  A survey was conducted among churches in Sydney to discover the distinctive elements of Chinese evangelism.  A training program was developed based on the findings. This program was tested and retested. A vision is an inspired view of how life might be that captures one's imagination and stimultates the necessary drive and energy for fulfillment.  The procedure used to foster a parish vision included: 1) writing a parish statement of belief; 2) writing a statement of purpose; and 3) formulating goals for the future that use a process that includes and informs all parishioners. This goal was pursued through a series of seven sermons on the key theological images, followed by weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper, coupled with seven adult classes and four sessions with children. The biblical reference for the project came from Jeremiah 36.  The participants in the program were lay persons from St Luke's Episcopal Church, Mobile, Alabama.  They committed themselves to read selected passages from Holy Scripture, to reflect upon the same through contemplation and to write journal entries related to the experience.  Two questionnaires provided empirical data on the project, which lasted 30 days. Each one is given gifts in ministry.  When these gifts are discovered and developed, a team of people can be effective in ministry with young people.  This project created objectives, recruited adults as leaders, and developed a youth program.  The pastor took a leadership role, but encouraged leadership from adults and students alike. The spritual growth and teaching-learning experience, conducted in retreat setting, resulted in changes in values and life styles. Participants were given the opportunity to discover their spiritual gifts by use of the 'Wagner Modified Houts Questionnaire'. In chapter one he describes the church, using both subjective and objective indicators ro renewal.  In chapter two he gives a theological foundation based on Jesus as servant.  In chapter three he presents a design for renewal that includes a sermon series, education class series, and a retreat.  Chapter four is an evaluation. Results were mixed.  To an extent the church developed a spirit of risk and a vision of community service.
