Four needs were discovered during a meeting of bivocational pastors.  Pastoral care, family time, preaching and time management were addressed in separate workshops which lasted one full day each.  All of the workshops examined the time problem for the bivocational pastor in his roles as pastor and as secular employee.  The project found that much more attention must be directed to the dual roles of the bivocational pastor. The central piece of the project was a one day single adult conference, directed by the author and sponsored by Madison County Baptist Association.  The two-fold method of research entailed personal observation and questionnaires completed by the participants. It develops a process for the evaluation and the modification of these expectations to fit the uniqueness of the wife, her husband and their ministry setting.  It includes a retreat for ministers' wives and ministers, a support group and two meetings with each congregation. This project involves fifteen of the Sunday School at First Baptist Church, Lake Worth, Florida.  The author develops five evaluative instruments to measure the success of each member, the group, performances and audience response. The activities instill feelings of self-worth and are enthusiastically received by the church. The project successfully helped a selected church write and adopt the following:  a statement of purpose; a one year ministry objective; three goals that facilitate the achievement of the objective; and action plans to carry out their objective and goals. As a result of the educational endeavor twelve couples from two churches accomplish observable progress in their perception and understanding as well as in their handling of stress.  Information on stress is presented through lectures and exercises. Scripture reinforces the program and assures a Christian experiennce.  Pre and post testing reveal positive results in stress management. Classes were held twice a week. Each class was one and one-half hours long.  The author used the pre-test/post-test method of measuring results.  The class covered the forming of self-concepts, feelings, attitudes and cognitive aspects of rational thinking.  It used the Bible to get a clear understanding of the positive way that God views man. This project's sources of information include the State Department of Education, the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Project Literacy, and selected books that deal with literacy.  The one-on-one method of teaching follows the 'Laubach Way to Reading.' Adults without reading skills are often reluctant to come forward.  However, once they do, a whole new world opens up to them and they find excitement in being able to read. The method of study included research on the primary sources in both religious and secular education and on secondary sources and practical helps.  This research resulted in twelve one and one-half hour training sessions which trained thirteen persons.  Six began teaching immediately.
