Based upon the premise that the life of a congregation flows from the center point of worship, this thesis examines what impact an inclusive model for worship, including preaching, has on a congregation with a desire to be more totally inclusive. Although traditional diversity, such as multiculturalism, is a part of this inclusivity, it goes beyond that definition to encompass as many voices of congregants as possible. the impact of the basic premise is examined in light of the project experience, as well as supporting theologies, and homiletic trends. The author used four distinct spiritual types articulated by Corinne Ware as a taxonomy of spiritual types found in the church.  She preached four sermons using the same lectionary text, each directed toward a particular spiritual type.  She also preached two blended sermons that spoke to all four types simultaneously. It uses the semiotics of culture to articulate a model of theological reflection appropriate to the Anishinaabe people, using the medicine wheel as the root metaphor for the Anishinaabe worldview. This was accomplished by the use of qualitative and quantitative methods.  Small group participants determined that they had experienced 'bounded set' behavior at this church.  A significant relationship was found between their desire for peer approval and authority figure approval, and their tendency to conform to small group and congregational norms.
