The goal of the project is to bring balance to a discipline of extremes while objectively equipping the participants for spiritual warfare and preparing them for possible, if not probable, involvement in 'the battle'.  The members in the church where the project leader serves as pastor, have frequently stated that they are aware of the spiritual battle all around them, but they do not understand the various elements of the warfare, the weapons delineated in Eph 6, or their involvement in spiritual warfare.  Therefore, the project leader will focus on the way that the believer prepares his or her heart for spiritual warfare, where spiritual warfare began, the spiritual weapons that are used to engage the enemy, and the place of angels in spiritual warfare, among other things. The congregation is multi-generational, traditional and yet open to change. This thesis challenges the preacher to consider what it means to preach purpose driven sermons. Further, it asks the question of whether or not the use of multimedia enhances the listener's sense of understanding God's purpose for their life. This project uses multiple feedback loops to demonstrate the congregation's awareness of its purpose and the impact the use of multimedia has in discerning its purpose and any growth therein. But at this very time of need for moral leadership, too many clergy simply mirror the uncertainty or abnegate altogether this responsibility. This thesis addresses the issue specifically in the Anglican context by proposing a model for the Anglican presbyter as moral leader of the local parish.     The thesis begins with an overview of the theological and biblical grounds as to the vocation of pastoral leadership in relation to the mission of the church and more particularly what is meant by the moral dimension of such leadership. The wider Christian Tradition in general, as well as the Anglican tradition in particular, are then surveyed for insights into the tasks of moral leadership including the authoritative sources for ethical reflection and moral guidance. Anglican tradition is also studied to derive a sense of the ecclesiastical ethos in which Anglican presbyters must now exercise such leadership. This is followed by a more detailed examination of scripture in regard to what it tells us about moral leadership in general and the tasks, personal qualities, and methods entailed in faithful moral leadership.     In light of this material together with current works on the subject, a normative model for moral leadership by Anglican presbyters in the local parish is set forth. With scripture as the primary authoritative source, a proposal is made as to the nature, goals, and guiding principles for such leadership. Six key elements of moral leadership ranging from understanding of the biblical vision of the moral life that is faithful to Christ and the social context in which leadership is exercised, to the moral virtues of a good leader, to personal moral accountability, to the various tasks of a pastoral moral leader, and to the moral significance of the liturgy are explored. This work investigates the immense consequences of resigning oneself to a detrimental thought life. It examines the relationships between antisocial behavior, substance abuse, and the origin of addictive thinking; focussing upon how every aspect of human development influences individual patterns of thought. The strategy is based on the redemptive thought causal loop diagram, and the development of a 'learning team' concept. This deliberation recognizes Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, and employs theological reflection to facilitate a biblical self-awareness via group process. It challenges the potential of people to change detrimental and status quo mental models in the face of individual and systemic adversity. The model emphasizes the overwhelming importance of the practitioner's conscious use of the Bible and prayer. The methodology both instructs and demonstrates that through the development of a biblical understanding of the thought process, one can begin to shape a healthier mind that is fully subject to God (2 Cor 10:5). The hypothesis is presented through the diverse cultural lens of the learning team and how they have managed to survive in spite of social exigencies. It explores the deep often unconscious, negative beliefs and assumptions held about themselves and society and brings hope through redemptive thought. The question the thesis poses, 'How can redemptive thought bring hope to an addictive personality?' is developed around the theme written by the apostle Paul found in the New Testament book addressed to Titus in chapter 2. This research explores how the use of narrative form and style in preaching increases empathy among the members of St. Matthew Presbyterian Church. After an introduction explaining the rationale for the project, background information about St. Matthew is given.  The two phases of qualitative research-sermon feedback sessions and individual interviews-are reported. Explications of empathy and how these theories played out in the research are woven into the reporting of the research. Through comparative analysis, our journey was shown to be fruitful. The rite of Baptism is only the beginning. The methodology includes the project leader and a seven-member steering committee developing a resident-agreement for this ministry. As trusted church members, caregivers were consistently in contact with receivers by phone to listen, encourage and pray with them.
