The ministry intervention was designed to meet the need of uniting dissociated factions and ministry programs under a corporate and purposeful vision for ministry.  The author compiled data to clarify the church's existing identity, led the church through an educational program, and conducted a leadership retreat aimed at formulating a comprehensive and operational mission statement.  The mission statement would be used to align existing ministries and develop new ones under the stated mission. Stennis Naval Air Station for Christ. This project was comprised of two major components--seminars and outreach evenings. Seminars concentrated on military family needs, Naval Air Station regulations regarding visitors, and how to share one's faith. The writer measured positive cognitive and attitudinal changes in most all the participants. The objective was determined through the development of a sermon evaluation form based on a Likert scale.  The project measured six sermons for correlating and disproportion. The author seeks to identify ten essential elements for health and vitality in local churches as modeled in the New Testament church.  A survey was developed allowing for an accurate picture of the church in relationship to the ten elements that promote a healthy church. The effectiveness of this 12-week study was measured by a seventeen-question survey, administered to the 30 students, three separate times, in addition to some homework assignments.   The design allows the student to take a spiritual journey that will change the way one sees himself, thus changing the way he views others. Two hypotheses were proposed.
