This project begins with a survey of biblical and professional literature regarding the subject of vocational ministry mentoring.  Special emphasis has been placed upon literature that addresses the cultural issues that one may face while ministering in the North American Chinese church context.  The centerpiece of this project revolves around two case studies of Chinese churches that are presently sponsoring and hosting vocational ministry internships. Once case study was conducted at the West Houston (Houston, Tex) Chinese Church and the second involving two churches with a cooperative internship program--the Chinese Bible Church of Maryland (Rockville, Md), and the Chinese Christian Church of Greater Washington, DC (Silver Spring, Md). This chapter builds upon the Old Testament ministry of Elijah, Moses, Jethro, and the New Testament teachings of Jesus and the Apostle Paul. Chapter 3 is based upon team development as it is developed in the business world. Attention is given to how the business world succeeds in the development of teams. Chapter 4 is the consultant's project for helping pastors develop a team ministry within their congregations. 'A Path for Team Development' was created by the consultant to accomplish this task. Chapter 5 concludes with an analysis of the project. this chapter is an evaluation of the successes and failures for each church in the study. These disciplines are examined through reflection on scripture, dialogue with liberation theology, and consideration of insights gained in a series of adult study groups led by the author.
