Its purpose is to be of benefit to the Project Leader, the participating pastors and the Baptist General Convention of Texas. As a beginning point the project leader will select a group of culturally diverse pastors whose churches cooperate with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. These pastors will attend training sessions designed to assist them in their understanding of vision in general; however, the focus is the vision of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Other training sessions will involve the study of church and community demographics and an examination of the culture of the pastor and his congregation. Finally, the pastors will be encouraged to discover how the vision of the Baptist General Convention of Texas might be relevant in their culture and environment. The vision of the Baptist General Convention of Texas is built around the concept of churches being the presence of Christ in the world. With the world being so culturally diverse, it is important that the vision be made adaptable to every church and every pastor, regardless of their cultural identity."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131615394529280,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:50:18.905Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T07:27:38Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:02:41Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"c6198e71-2107-43a9-837c-94cb58e9886f","accessControl_ssim":["0455f362-677f-4fa9-ad38-134d7693d7b4"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Engaging the laity in ongoing ministries for nonmembers who have come to Southwick Congregational Church in connection with baptisms, weddings and funerals"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T07:27:37Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:49:15Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["6a1a8463-1d5c-420d-9b08-abfcd6294cfc"],"hasLease_ssim":["9a42d0cc-7b7e-46f9-8ca2-0f1a9ba012e9"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Hartford Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Carl S Dudley"],"year_tesim":["2001"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Lorrie Dunham-Bergmann"],"publisher_tesim":["Hartford Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church work with families","Southwick Congregational Church (Southwick, Mass)","Non-church-affiliated people"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This Doctor of Ministry project report addresses the need for follow-up ministries for nonmembers who are served by Southwick Congregational Church in connection with baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
