Based on biblical study and literature research, the project proposes three phases through which relocating organizations pass: the current zone, the transformation zone, and the future zone. A congregational survey and interviews with seven pastors of relocated churches identify spiritual and emotional issues in each phase and the tasks involved in resolving them. Promise Keepers aids local churches in many ways, by building up Christian men in regional conferences conducted in football stadiums, by providing support for pastors and ministry leaders through its Ambassador and Key Man networks, and by encouraging pastors and churches to serve their communities. Based on survey research and a study of organizational administration, the project develops a strategic plan and evaluation tools to assist AMF mission staff in measuring and assessing the effects of purpose-driven planning.
