Although the strategy targets primarily members of the Challenge Center, it may also influence others in the surrounding community who have physical disabilities. The project defines the problem, reviews current biblical, theological, sociological, psychological, and popular literature, and administers a survey of the Challenge Center population. This research reveals that although disability can lead to greater faith, disabled persons report greater alienation from the church than is present among members of the general public. The project subjects responses to exploratory and inferential analyses, using the multiple and stepwise regressions. The survey, a 13-page, 57-question document, attempts to evaluate the effects of the trips on participants. It was returned by 77 participants for a response ratio of 68 percent. This project seeks to assist the church and mission in Angola to find a balance, so that subsidies will help and not hinder the growth of the church. After assessing the history and value of small-group Bible study, the project develops six inductive Bible studies for men.  Adult development and adult education principles were integrated into the Bible studies.  The studies were written from the Psalms, evaluated by pastors, and pilot tested and evaluated by a small group of men in a church setting.
