The project noted similarities and differences among the generations represented, and addressed communication, finances, stress and burnout, church problems, time management, parenting, and conflict in the home.  These findings informed a marriage-enrichment retreat for married Bible college students in which 34 individuals participated. Upward feedback is a management strategy in which supervisors receive anonymous relational and behavioral counsel from those who report to them.  Four senior pastors in larger United Methodist churches participated in the project.  They redefined power as a capacity for an agreed-upon common course of action in unconstrained communications. Research in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church indicates that a sense of belonging is related to the age of the member.  While 90 percent of those above age 65 claimed a strong loyalty and attachment to the church, only 65 percent of those below age 45 expressed a sense of belonging. Lutheran congregations can benefit from an intentional catechetical course for adults. This project outlines development of a catechetical course in seven sessions for Lutheran adults, including study of baptism, prayer and confession, communion, healing, the church, discipleship, and caregiving.  Drawing on the history of the church, the course brings issues of faith into current perspective using the 'shared praxis' approach to teaching. The Soul Friend Model calls each participant to a three-month commitment to be paired with another person who seeks to learn discipleship. The project accomplished growth in specific areas of devotional life, Christian relationships, evangelism, and ministry through the local church.
