Overcoming difficulties of syncretizing, or bringing together a new tradition and a distinctly Japanese culture of religiosity, becomes paramount if a Japanese Christian Church is to thrive. The project integrates biblical leadership models, cross-cultural needs, and modern leadership study in the ministry of participating mission administrators. Training was conducted in 16 five-day sessions over a six-month period at Brackenhurst Baptist International Center in Lumuru, Kenya. Lectures, case studies, and small-group discussions challenged participants to theological reflection and practical application of relevant principles."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133078130786304,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:13:33.879Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:55:33Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:52:11Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"280a2d28-3a94-48db-91bd-218f8d5dfb6d","accessControl_ssim":["b05b6cfa-3c13-42bd-be5d-6b34ce6d65df"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Leading newly elected deacons in a large church to identify, develop and implement their spiritual gifts"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:55:30Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:18:14Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2ce65e3d-ce44-4044-b747-5a3089530717"],"hasLease_ssim":["29478f8c-99ea-4d6f-ba01-0acacd04d06f"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Harry B Hunt"],"year_tesim":["1995"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jeff B Reid"],"publisher_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Deacons--Baptists","Christian education of adults","Gifts, Spiritual"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project proposes to increase effectiveness of the deacon ministry at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
