Information was gathered as interviews in a multiple case study.  Twenty cases were examined and each case included a new believer, the believer's non-Christian parents and the believer's pastor. The study showed that control was significant, but the way it affected decisions depended largely on the degree to which the parents were opposed to Christianity. The author did research to find relevant seminar topics.  Six seminars were then developed by the author and presented over a period of one semester to fifteen students.  After four months, the author evaluated the effects of the seminars on the students' lives and ministries. Three seminars were found to be helpful and the rural students had been effectively trained for city ministry.
