The sermon preparation process develops a synthetic outline, propositions (exegetical, theological and homiletical) for sermon portions and message outlines. The communication strategy designs sermons to persuasively preach elements of discipleship.  The spiritual journey evaluation measures congregational change in discipleship attitudes and actions.  The post-test assesses relative effects of other variables.  The congregation demonstrated increased discipleship, though the difference was not statistically significant. The project involved a series of four corporate worship sessions, and a personal devotional book written by the author of the project. Participants in the project completed a series of questionnaires to measure the project's effect. The thesis emphasizes the necessity of trained ministers to do pastoral work among the Assemblies churches of the Puerto Rico District. The author used questionnaires interviews and group work. Revitalization of an intern full time study program was the strategy selected. In cases where the strategy did not work out favorably, other alternatives were structured. A researcher-designed survey was mailed to a simple random sample of revival participants, asking about nine aspects of their spiritual lives within the first 12 months of the revival and 25 years later.  Survey results showed that even 25 years later the Asbury Revival of 1970 continued to impact the lives of the Asbury College graduates who participated in the revival. The project is theologically grounded on the church as body of Christ and people of God and continuing Christ's ministry as diakonia. Using input about their personal issues, the role of God, and faith development, from both current adolescents at Crossroad and the staff who work with them, the project identifies the most pressing issues for these young people.  The discussion series addresses the concerns with residents who chose to attend.  The effectiveness of the project is measured by pre- and post-interviews with participating adolescents; by an ongoing diary of conversations; and by feedback from the residents and staff at Crossroad. Through semi-structured interviews, respondents reported less overt homophobia in AAPC than heterosexism. Data obtained suggests the presence of the negative effects of heterosexism on collegial relationships, pastoral counselor training, and the membership process.  Overt homophobia was experienced within local agencies affiliated with AAPC and in the institutional church. Two groups of individuals between the ages of thirty and forty-five, raised in Christian and non-Christian homes, completed the SWBS and FSI.  The thesis that a child raised in a healthy Christian home would generate high scores on the SWBS were proved to be true.
