Part of the process included team development and leadership skill development on the part of the author.  The process took twenty-two months to complete. People already in leadership positions in the church conducted the project. Resources were made available to them and they did the actual writing of the operations manual.  The author directed the activities of the group and worked in a collaborative manner.  Instruments were used to measure team effectiveness. Training lessons taught by the author helped the participant understand his giftedness.  A spiritual gifts inventory showed each participant his gift or gifts.  A ministry-action plan allowed the participant to exercise his gift in the ministry program of the New Sarepta Baptist Church. A leadership training manual was developed and seven students were trained to lead koinonia groups.  These same students also participated in a weekly koinonia group meeting.  The participants and a control group of seven other students responded to a pretest/posttest.  The tests indicated statistically significant improvement in leadership skills and Christian maturity.  Outside advisors also provided input and evaluation. Descriptive and historical methods of research were used to design a video-based outreach ministry and a ten-week training course.  Eleven people participated in the seminar and evangelism program.  The project was evaluated through experimental and descriptive methods of analysis.  A statistically significant difference was not found in the pretest-posttest scores. When conflict is properly managed, growth is encouraged; when conflict is not managed, growth is thwarted and the church is unable to carry out its task. A training model including twelve sessions of lecture and group activities was developed, and a selected group of adults was enlisted.  To test for a cognitive gain of knowledge, the experimental method of pretesting and posttesting was used.  Test comparisons revealed a significant increase in the cognitive test scores of the experimental group.  A t-value of 2.76 was computed which was significant at the .01 level of confidence.
