The research methodology was guided interviews in the Norontario area of the BCOQ and questionnaires in the Hermosa area.  The number one single priority need in almost every demographic category was personal spiritual development. During these years, first-generation Koreans worked toward better socio-economic positions and lifestyles.  However, while these parents were working hard, their children grew up without much love or interest from the parents.  Two different lifestyles of the first and second generations were starting to make a wall between them.  This wall manifested itself at home and at church as separation of these two groups.  The difference in language, culture and values further separated these two groups.  The church is given the task of reconciling and restoring first and second generations' relationship and treating their wounds. The writer has begun a retreat program that can allow second-generation children to discover a new identity, and Korean language school that can improve their relationship by better understanding each other. To support the goal of each couple developing a new functional homeostasis in their marital and family relationships, the model of ministry included: MD's psychosocial screening; brief pastoral contacts introducing the ministry; a psychosocial/spiritual 'holding environment' to process major fears/concerns about body image, sexual function/roles; and, emphasis on community support. Although the efficacy of the pastoral care interventions is perhaps best judged in the context of each couple's relationship, data from pre-counseling and evaluation questionnaires was analyzed. All five males and six females indicated on follow-up questionnaires that sharing their emotions during the treatment of cervical cancer with a counselor was 'very important' or 'moderately important.' Therefore, the emphasis upon ethical culture and the practice of a faithful witness are closely related. From this, a distinction between the forms of worship and the substance of worship is offered. Following this distinction, new forms are suggested for worship.  Finally, the psychology of change is presented, with strategies offered.  Research is primarily through books contained in bibliography. The project utilized a thirteen-week discussion manual and video.  The course dealt with those topics of interest determined by members who were surveyed within the author's context of ministry.
