The church is located in a rapidly changing community and must have a plan in order to reach and minister to that community.  The church, led by the pastor, elected a long-range planning committee, and through surveys and census information the committee identified the church's strengths and weakness and established a target group.  The committee then used this information and developed a plan that addressed some of the identified needs of the target group. Bibliographic, historical, descriptive and evaluative research were required.  The use of case studies was considered essential. Six major Ivorian cities were chosen with interviews conducted among missionaries from ten mission agencies. Fervent prayer, a diverse use of means and methods of evangelism, mission coordination, cell group formation, and theological education are among the priorities for successful evangelization and church planting-efforts. This project demonstrates that biblical prayer principles constitute the most effective model for Christian prayer, and that consistent practice of these principles produces positive change in prayer attitudes, habits, results, knowledge, experience, and personal needs.  Despite the prominence Scripture gives prayer in making Christian life and ministry effectual, Christians fail in developing effective prayer lives.  Inability to pray effectually themselves and secure God's answer fosters problems of spiritual ineptness and defeat. If people would focus their prayer lives on evangelism, would they become instruments of good news to others?  Using Terry Tekyl's Personal Prayer-Evangelism Guide in a Sunday school program, participants were asked to pray daily.  To measure evangelistic change, participants answered a questionnaire, once initially, another after the study, and the last twelve weeks later. Positive changes were seen in participants' prayer habits, attitudes, and evangelistic activities. A model--the scriptural self-analysis--was used to change thought and emotional patterns in a thirty-day program. The theologies of womanhood in evangelical traditionalists, revelationists and modern feminism were taught in eight sessions.  The Tennessee Self-Concept Scale was the instrument of measurement for results.
