The most likely occurrence of this type of relationship develops in the counseling setting.  Pastoral counselors must understand the damaging effects of becoming romantically or sexually involved with a counselee. In the situation, twelve children and male adolescents were sexually abused by a male teenager from the church family. The focus of the research was upon the manner in which the leadership dealt with the problem.  Information was gathered from various parties involved; the responses of these various groups were then compared and evaluated.  The goal of the research was to discover and chronicle principles of leadership in the midst of a crisis, specifically one involving sexual abuse in a church. Questions regarding church discipline involved what constitutes cause for official church discipline, how discipline is to be carried out, and what also constitutes reason for the removal of the action. The dissertation also briefly addressed the issue of the relationship of church and state in matters involving the criminal activity of a church member. The author highlights anthropological and historical factors which have contributed to the problem of nominalism. The thesis used to test the research question was: Increased organizational commitment results when an individual's personal meaning fits with organizational mission. The hypothesis that poststudy commitment level scores would be higher than prestudy commitment level scores was satisfied. The researcher trained a team to befriend and evangelize this target group using relational evangelism methods and larger group activities. Emphasis was given to using contemporary methods which would appeal to the audience's felt needs. At the conclusion of the research, the target group was surveyed and compared with a control group of similar people. Both historical and empirical research methods were employed. The issue of giving is one of the most neglected topics in Christian ministry today.  The main objectives of the project included: teaching biblical contents related to the concept of stewardship giving; helping participants actualize monthly tithes or increase monthly giving according to biblical teachings; developing a teaching program on stewardship giving to be incorporated into the teaching system of the church; and, helping the congregation to become more aware of the responsibility of being a steward in the Kingdom of God.  Evaluation results indicated that all objectives for the program were realized. Market research indicated no availability of curricula containing all six important educational elements: question, answer, supporting Scripture verse, Scripture reference, verbal explanation and/or illustration, visual illustration.
