That the existing process impinged upon morale and subsequent ministerial development was shown.  A survey instrument was developed by which the effectiveness of the existing program was evaluated. The first idea, theocracy, was George Fox's intent when he developed the Friends decision-making process. The second idea, multigenerational emotional process, comes from Bowen's systems theory.  These ideas are blended into a theory of multigenerational spiritual/emotional process designed to help a meeting identify its destructive forces and helpful resources.  A Friends meeting was taught a course related to the above ideas and partially applied them for six months. The process aimed to assist principals in Catholic education to identify their own faith development needs and to clarify their ministry in today's cultural climate.  The process was developed with seven principals in the Halton Roman Catholic School Board (Burlington, Ontario) from June 1990 to June 1991. COR is a three-day experience of Christian living, popular with youth, but which has not been critically examined in the church.  A school-based COR was analyzed for its ability to enhance faith development using the faith development research instruments derived from the faith development theory of Dr James Fowler. The results established certain commonalities in work-related personality characteristics among the research group, which aided in producing a 'pastor suitability profile' of personality characteristics judged significant for a job-fit with the pastoral ministry. They show a remarkably consistent pattern of devotion in which meditation, self-examination, prayer and study figure prominently. The program included training lessons to equip a prayer group and activities to involve the church.  The historical method was used to gather data on the theology of prayer.  The descriptive survey method was used to gather data on prayer ministries and prayer for missions.  The director gave pretests and posttests to evaluate changes in the group's attitudes and changes in the church's behavior.
