The biblical foundations for this project were found in the book of Acts generally, and in Acts 13:16-41 and Acts 17:16-34 specifically.  A clustering instrument was utilized to isolate placement.  Focus group interviews and surveys were implemented to define product and promotion. This model is defined in his two books, To Dream Again and Keeping the Dream Alive.  Built upon the theme of the congregation as the people of God, a biblical/historical/theological rationale for church revitalization was established.  Four research instruments were developed and were administered to church members, community residents, and experimental and control groups.  The experimental group was instrumental in implementing this ministry project. The community residents were pretested to determine initial levels.  A one-month intensive marketing campaign followed. Afterward, the community was posttested to determine any change. Intentional visitation ministries to aged shut-ins focus on the emotional and spiritual needs related to their well-being.  A ten-week training program and visitation assignments help equip persons with knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to the priestly function of ministry with the aged and dying.  A training group and control (non-training) group visited two groups of aged shut-ins. Surveys and focused interviews evaluated the effect of the training program. A participatory, field research method was employed in the implementation of this project.  Conclusions were that this model has the potential for reproducibility not only in the rural areas of Korea, but in the urban districts as well. The theoretical presuppositions for the project are the homogeneous unit principle which facilitates evangelistic efforts by forming a bridge between the church and the students from Hong Kong at the University, and the friendship evangelism principle that can bring them closer to the church to embark on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  There will be banquet-talk programs arranged for the students to familiarize them with the American lifestyle, and to provide a forum for socializing between the students and congregants to achieve Christian fellowship. The church will then enlist its own members to host students from Hong Kong and to provide assistance to these foreign students during their short stay in our community.
