The methods are as follows: the expert method; the exorcism method; the power method; the resistance method; the psychology method; and the teaching method. The author develops a seventh method which is a combination of the six.  He suggests that each of the methods has strengths and weaknesses which enhance or limit its effectiveness in certain situations. Data was tabulated and analyzed, and recommendations were prepared for all parties involved in an effort to resolve their conflicts. The writer developed a project within his local congregation designed to respond to these needs for the church, the prospective deacons, and their families.  The pastor developed a pretest, posttest, accompanied by appropriate training, for all groups of participants. The project also explores the role of communication in ministry to those in grief. Incarnational witness was defined as a demonstration of the person and power of Jesus Christ through the personalities, actions, and words of believers in the context of the felt and real needs of unbelievers. Project participants identified needs in the community through demographic analysis, generalized characteristics, and personal interviews with community members.  As a result of this study participants crafted a needs-based and resource-related strategy.  This strategy was refined by dialogue with the church body. The hypotheses: 1) adolescent boys have a vague understanding of what they are to accomplish in adolescence; 2) father/father figure interaction with an adolescent boy will enhance a boy's male sex-role identity; 3) teaching the developmental tasks will clarify the boy's understanding of what they are to accomplish; 4) public recognition as 'young men' will solidify their purpose in life. Small group teaching and interaction were combined with father-to-son teaching.  The project was evaluated descriptively, theologically, and by objective tests.  A Christian rite of passage was administered.  Hypothesis one was not validated, two was inconclusive, three and four were validated.
