It was discovered that the friendship and intergenerational relationships within the church which they experienced in childhood and adolescence contributed significantly to the generation and development of their faith, second only to the impact of their parents and family life. Thus after exploring the Apostle Paul's model of worldview analysis and confrontation as recorded in Acts 17:16-34, the thesis examines the New Age movement and the factors leading people to embrace this worldview.  Then, following Paul's approach in Acts 17:16-34, the thesis applies a similar model of worldview confrontation to the New Age movement. This thesis is developed both theoretically and practically. The paper also establishes the dialectical relationship of poetic language and theological language. Descriptive survey methodology and simple statistical evaluations were used with an experimental group. In developing the statement, central consideration was given to biblical tradition, followed by covenant community, holistic health ministry and health care, and the composite of research and data.  Directors of nine hospital-based pastoral counseling centers provided the data.
