The significance of this study for other congregations lies in the fact that it brings together a coalition of several ministry emphases--evangelism, missions, worship and Christian education--through which the cycle of compassion may find development and fruition. It also moves immediately to settle down with the griever in an extended period of grief sharing and healing. The basis of this project was the formulation of a Notebook of Biblical Marketplace Ethics that addressed not only the issue of the Christian's attitude toward work but also established a set of personal work ethics. A six-week course was designed and taught to a group of committed Christians using the Notebook. Evident from the study was that Christians desperately need a forum to discuss how their work relates to their faith."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132914738528256,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:10:58.056Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:44:56Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:48:57Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"99b749f7-e12c-4a80-b532-1fbfadb626f2","accessControl_ssim":["fcb72292-0559-4643-a596-57e7ee4e3fcd"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Implications of Jungian psychological type theory for a doctrine of the church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:44:55Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:37:52Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2d511ad4-313e-4bfc-8da9-5035d2d9b9d7"],"hasLease_ssim":["67f06f6e-630b-4e04-b005-630a5d7ee9cf"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Christine Eaton Blair","John R Hendrick"],"year_tesim":["1991"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Walter C Lee"],"publisher_tesim":["Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Typology (Psychology)","Church--History of doctrines","Jung, C. To a degree, human diversity parallels the diversity between denominations and congregations within the church of Jesus Christ. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Keirsey's Temperament Theory were utilized to explore various groupings within the church to see whether or not distinctions can be noted within the Jungian framework. A number of groups were surveyed and the results were statistically significant. In terms of the doctrine of the church, the parallels between the individual in Jungian psychology and units of the church begin to break down when pushed too far. There is a strong positive correlation between Keirsey's temperaments and the way the church has been experienced by numerous modern authors."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["0f245891-e4c1-47d9-842b-9aefbafae138"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791135308459278336,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:49:00.886Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:44:55Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:53:06Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"343beb56-8a92-48fd-80f5-a903228842f1","accessControl_ssim":["3d9f0dfa-71fd-4688-9895-b8d06912a211"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Secular consciousness-training and spiritual exercises as self-transformation methods (praxis credo)"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:44:55Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:38:47Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["87ff963c-6b9c-4b87-8209-d09507f20579"],"hasLease_ssim":["d2aa94ea-5803-49f3-844b-c59992d13c0c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Saint Paul School of Theology (Kansas City, MO)"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert Potter","Young H Chun"],"year_tesim":["1991"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John J McCabe"],"publisher_tesim":["Saint Paul School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Change (Psychology)","Psychology","Consciousness","Spiritual exercises"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["God is at work in similar ways in certain secular and spiritual processes of human development: in secular consciousness-training through relaxation, visualization, and mental rehearsal and in spiritual exercises, specifically, meditation, contemplation, and prayer.
