The project director used an experimental method of research with an experimental and control group.  The director used eleven teaching sessions, eight doctrinal sermons, and a pre-test/post-test to accomplish the goal. Conference participants were pretested and posttested to measure knowledge acquired in the conferences.  Postconference and follow-up questionnaires also were submitted to participants. A questionnaire determined spiritual disciplines that needed improvement, and a training manual was developed based upon the results. The experimental group received seven weeks of discipleship training from the project director.  This group then trained others one-on-one using the same material.
