The central hypothesis is that residential mobility is a major factor affecting patterns of membership and participation in mainline Protestant churches that is neglected by theorists in evangelism and church growth. Data was secured through a community survey of the adult population of Tipp City and Monroe Township, Ohio, and in-depth interviews with a random stratified sample of that population. The result of this sampling, defining, and reflecting upon the multi-faceted mobility of contemporary US population is strong evidence that residential mobility has a major impact upon the growth pattern of mainline Protestant churches."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128908900335616,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:07:17.790Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:08:42Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:23:15Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"df673340-a3ad-4cc1-a935-4351337f70d2","accessControl_ssim":["efbfcf36-5cd1-4e03-bf43-d789f1522f87"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Laity empowerment through the use of the basic discussion model"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:08:41Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:31:48Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c16c9334-e99f-4643-9225-5233762b68c5"],"hasLease_ssim":["305b2396-188f-4ebb-b552-d0003ae0839a"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["J Harvey Gossard"],"year_tesim":["1989"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Harold J Slater"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","Clergy","Laity","Church group work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The thesis of this project is that laity can be taught leadership skills.
