An attempt is made to ascertain contributing factors, or conditions in the clergyman's life often present during extramarital involvement. From these recurrent themes, inferences for prevention are drawn and discussed. The study concludes with a consideration of the need for the church to readdress the areas of sexual theology, forgiveness, and restoration of repentent and petitioning clergymen. It proposes that the central role of the deacon in the church today should be that of an ordained pastoral minister of the church's social mission. The project is an example of one way of implementing this kind of ministry in the church. It is a manual for conducting a parish listening process in order to assist parishes in identifying and developing their social mission."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791125091206037504,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:06:36.953Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:52:07Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:15:48Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"c9be8ad5-ef98-4937-962d-d9844ba42fff","accessControl_ssim":["7f768ea3-33c8-4218-87c3-7ff2c9e9f038"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["An assessment of the character training programme in the Royal Australian Navy with implications for chaplaincy ministry"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:52:06Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:55:39Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c1cbf8ab-246e-40ec-a912-5fee60d08940"],"hasLease_ssim":["514a81df-b8f9-4f9e-a137-50a38a05df0a"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Brian V Hill"],"year_tesim":["1990"],"location_tesim":["Australia"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Gareth H Clayton"],"keyword_tesim":["Australia.
