The  project director enlisted the participation of twenty two adults from the congregation. The participants were then taught using a curriculum on henneneutic methodology written by the project director. The equipping class consisted of eight sessions taught on consecutive Monday evenings and focused on the essential methods of the observation, interpretation and application of Scripture. This project will be based on the ministry skill enhancement model. The project director will begin by researching the field of apologetics and create an annotated bibliography from resources researched to aid in the design and delivery of apologetic sermons. He also will create a report identifying theological doctrines related to evil and suffering that will serve as essential components necessary to increase understanding of evil and suffering. The project director then will develop a series of apologetic sermons incorporating the essential components identified. He will base each sermon on apologetic principles and will incorporate a specific component deemed necessary for the increasing of congregational understanding of evil and suffering. The project director will preach the series of apologetic sermons at Eastwood Baptist Church. The second component of the project involved the development of curriculum. This project proposes an additional step in the movement from text to praxis via the intermediary of the theological focus for all types of literature, but especially for narrative. To test the effectiveness of this methodology, a five-part preaching series from the book of Ruth was evaluated to determine the model's effectiveness. Group discernment meetings analyzed the content of the interviews, and created a Welcome: Connect team for Sunday morning services. At Trinity Church (Aurora, Ontario, Canada), as with most Anglican churches, spiritual formation has been through corporate worship and private devotions. Laity do not tend to speak about the spiritual experience and consequently can lack confidence in spiritual leadership. Barrier and facilitating factors were identified by combining themes from literature review and interviews of a convenience sample of 20 people from the population. From these factors, a survey was designed and disseminated. Data from the 89 respondents was analyzed by the researcher and Power to Change staff. A group study resource was developed focusing on one facilitating factor, 'take the initiative,' and it was pilot tested with a small group. The impact of this small project was assessed by interviewing the participants of a small group. This research project helped identify an inventory of what helps or hinders students connected to Power to Change to share the gospel with others. The project design included seven interactive lessons, pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results revealed that the eleven participants were more missionally focused after engaging the discipleship training curriculum. Their awareness and knowledge to include others in God's missional intent grew.
