This report describes the completion of objectives used to achieve the project's goal.  These objectives were the recruitment of students, development of the project program, implementation of the program, and initiation of the codes by participants. The project sought to generate interest through a theological and a pragmatic rationale to provide such assistance.  Volunteer assistance was sought from active duty and retired members of a specific military community.  The report deals with the planning and coordination among several official helping agencies on the base. In many local churches the concept of lay ministry does not include participation in the area of evangelism. The main objectives of this project are to develop and lead a workshop which will enable church members to participate in the evangelistic ministry of the local church. All persons currently holding leadership positions and persons who expressed interest in being trained as leaders were asked to participate.  A six-week course was designed to give the participants a new vision of what church leadership can mean as well as develop a better understanding of the specific tasks of leaders.  The program included didactic sessions, role play exercises, a field trip to Oklahoma City, and a planning retreat in Lamasas, Texas. By involving the members in a training program the project sought to achieve in participants: 1. awareness of personal attitudes toward Mormon people; 2. positive attitudinal change in attitudes toward Mormons; 3. greater knowledge of Mormon doctrine and biblical doctrine; and 4. an ability to personally witness to Mormons.  Sedlacek's Situational Attitude Scale was altered and administered to both a project and a control group.  The project group also took a pre-test and post-test on Mormon and biblical doctrine.  The doctrine testing instrument indicated that the third objective was clearly reached. Reporting by the participants indicated that the fourth objective was reached. The design of system analysis provided an excellent way of organizing and developing the project. The methodology was to use surveys, committee evaluations and committee reports.  The committee reports were presented to the church.  System analysis was used to study each ministry.  The result was a ten-percent increase in awareness of the ministries of First Baptist Church.  A similar increase was evidenced in the involvement of the members in ministry. By involving members in a prescribed pedagogical program the project sought to achieve three objectives: 1. an increased theological understanding of Christian worship; 2. an increased awareness of and participation in the worship service; and 3. an increased awareness of children's worship.  Two groups were enlisted.  A test group was involved in five pedagogical sessions; a control group was not.  A worship questionnaire was developed to show comparative scores before and after the pedagogical program.  Allport, Vernon, and Lindzey's 'Study of Values' was used to determine the effects of the project on personal values.  Both instruments indicated that the project's objectives were attained.
