The students in the and B.Th. programs at the Queen's Theological College and their supervisors were involved in using these instruments. A handbook was produced which includes samples of the Agape and general and specific guidelines for its practice in congregations and family units.  The study begins with a literature survey and then moves into a description of field research of contemporary practice in the USA, British Isles, Europe and Australasia. Christians have turned to their churches and pastors to cope with the feelings of loneliness, fear, and frustration.  The pastor cannot meet all the needs of these people by himself.  To help church members fulfill their Christian ministry a training program was developed covering the following resources: 1) needs of recent immigrant Koreans; 2) principles of pastoral care; 3) skills of pastoral care.  At the conclusion, lay-shepherds had taken responsibility for one another with skills and perspectives of pastoral care and expressed growth in personality and spirituality. A 'systems approach', using consensus decision making and value enhancement techniques, improves a project group's 'up-thinking', self-esteem and willingness to improve the environment. This project introduces the pastor in Monroe County, New York, to the Therapeutic Alternatives for Sexually Abused Children and Their Families (TASA) program.  TASA deals with incest, intrafamily sexual abuse through the court system and with therapeutic alternatives. The dynamics of an incestuous family are explored as well as ways in which the pastor may become an intervenor in an incestuous family.  The project concludes that incest occurs in greater frequency than most individuals are aware. The pastor is a potentially powerful source in intervention and in ministering to the families. In addition, an extensive survey of other methods of preparing couples for marriage is presented. The thesis examines the historical reasons for the movement's creation, development and progress in the first six decades.  Initially the pioneers declared that fellowship alone was the basis of unity; however, soon the necessity of a doctrinal base was realized and this development is documented. The structural growth of the movement in eastern and western Canada and the initial organic relationship with the Assemblies of God in the United States are documented.  The final aspect presents the challenge of the future. Deacons and pastor-advisors in 119 Presbyterian churches were surveyed to discover organization and models of deacon ministry. Three main studies were included:  first, a study of the size and location of churches having produced Conservative Baptist foreign missionaries; second, a survey of Conservative Baptist churches to determine the number of missionaries and other Christian workers produced by those churches; third, a six-part program to promote missionary interest in rural churches.  The program was tested in five churches. The author saw a need to evaluate present procedures in the light of history feeling that such a study would reveal any effective or fragmented practices and policies, strengthen the present ministry, and contribute to the design of future strategy.  After reading extensively in the areas of biblical and theological foundations for missions, missiology, historiography and Spanish history, the author thoroughly investigated the records, minutes, documents and archives of the Baptist mission to Spain and interviewed missionaries and Spaniards having a personal knowledge of the history of the mission.  Letters and documents were obtained from other religious agencies.
