Biblical models of leadership training are examined from both the Old Testament (Ex 18:19-23) and the New Testament (Eph 4:11-16). Both the negative and the positive aspects of leadership are also discussed. A survey is presented that was administered to leaders, potential leaders and past volunteers. The survey was designed to reveal areas of need for leadership training. Finally the project is evaluated to reveal insights on how to enlist and meet the needs of volunteer leaders. This work maintains that volunteer workers who have a relationship with Jesus Christ will respond and after having been trained will provide a better quality of leadership."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["55f1694e-f3f1-43ea-8ca9-da9a2899defe"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128063158779904,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:53:51.229Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:05:22Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:51:32Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"37284085-4360-4bac-8d2f-139fb6c29022","accessControl_ssim":["4be94fed-45b4-4957-a5ec-a3b77c06b5fa"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["New life for marriages: how spiritual direction can enhance couples' lives"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:05:22Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:43:58Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["116b9a5e-b3ff-49d2-9402-b82545b83b58"],"hasLease_ssim":["a5f34d34-98cd-4f0c-8a41-e1a7d42b1433"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["William Harkins"],"year_tesim":["2002"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Neal C Earley"],"publisher_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Spiritual direction","Marriage--Religious aspects--Christianity"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Christian married couples often do not pray together. My thesis is that a joint, congregationally-based, educational program is an effective approach for fostering genuine Jewish-Christian dialogue. The research model used is both ethnographic and pro-active from the point of view of a participant/observer. The process and the evaluation were co-facilitated by both worship leaders. results indicate potential for application to interfaith work with Jewish and Christian congregations."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b5eba5c2-141b-4673-9689-2f9720736859"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129134560182272,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:10:52.997Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:04:49Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:52:33Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2a8ed7e9-0727-4bdc-812f-ccfb25b84941","accessControl_ssim":["b8b889fd-5dee-416e-94a4-699517ebbd1e"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Christianity and healing: an ethnological theology for the EPC of Togo"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:04:48Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:22:47Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["edf942e4-45b3-4dd0-9a3a-a5776e66f380"],"hasLease_ssim":["8e7ded8a-6d7c-4c14-9a47-3e9649b61238"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["McCormick Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Anthony J Gittins"],"year_tesim":["2002"],"location_tesim":["Togo"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Komlan Edouard Ezunkpe"],"publisher_tesim":["McCormick Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Religion","Medicine--Religious aspects","Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Togo"],"language_tesim":["English"],"alternative_title_tesim":["Christianity and healing: an ethnological theology for the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Togo"],"abstract_tesim":["This study demonstrates that rejection of local cultures cannot be simply made on the assumption that they are not western or Christians because all cultural systems are equal.
