The pastors were interviewed regarding 3 aspects of their upbringing; 'the relationship of the parents and their parenting method' 'the relationship between the pastors and their siblings' and 'how birth order within the family affects the pastors.' The content of the interviews have been organized, analyzed, and compared with literature and theory. The project director enlisted mentor couples and led them through six hours of mentor training regarding biblical principles of mentoring and marriage, conflict and resolution, stedardship, strengthening relationships, improving communications, and parenting together. This research project seeks to establish the value of lament rituals to promote self-awareness and grief expression for medical staff as they serve patients in Palliative Care, Intensive Care and Emergency Rooms, by witnessing and experiencing the provision of lament rituals to medical professional staff by spiritual care. Spirituality provides a safe space for medical professional staff to explore their own sources of hope while confronting illness in the journey of life. This thesis reports the findings from a six-month training course delivered to a group of actively serving chairpersons in the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada. The thesis project was designed utilizing the concepts of action research. Chair participants and two board governance experts evaluated the effectiveness of course. Board members from the participant's congregation assessed the impact of the course on the Chair's confidence and performance. This research involves governing principles from psychology, management, pastoral leadership, especially in theocracy study.
