Qualitative research supports the fact that when the preacher is formed to understand the ministry of preaching as a gift from God that demands an investment of the whole person, the assembly is drawn into a deep relationship with the Risen Christ, which in turn fosters a desire for conversion of heart. It was hypothesized that this would increase their experience of and expression of gratitude. The program highlighted the benefits of gratitude and practices that would increase gratitude with the group for twelve weeks. The participants filled out a pre and posttest and answered eight qualitative questions. This author developed a six week program to assist in encouraging clergy and their parishioners in broaching this very important topic.  The author utilized narrative, pastoral, and relational theologies to support her research. Also the use of qualitative research was utilized in the form of personal interviews, focus group participation, observation, and the building of a sand tray that depicted the image of afterlife.  This author found that an inadequate response by clergy was founded.  Participants expressed very little education from the church on this topic. It was illustrated that the Marriage CORE program is an excellent marital enrichment Christian program. Among its twenty-four lessons, these seven core virtues are integrated with four Marriage CORE principles, namely, Connection, Oneness, Restoration and Empowerment. The motivation force is attributed to a heart filled with three kinds of love, namely, covenant love, courageous love and sacrificial love.
