The aim of this study is to show churches can use a mentoring model to help experienced teachers transfer practical knowledge to trainees and multiply available, trained teachers. A secondary aim is to show that the mentoring model matches biblical principles. This study, through an integrative review and critical analysis of literature, explores the biblical, theological foundations of teacher training, surveys the development of teacher training in the church, and based on the Bible and history presents a model for teacher apprenticeship. The literature review and the case study reveal that collaboration is possible when ministries have a supporting entity that requires them to work together. This project concludes that a collaboration of churches can create a council, which will provide resources as an incentive to collaborate. He creates and teaches a curriculum on this topic in the faith community he ministers to. The goal of the curriculum is to invite to a different interpretation of the death of Jesus that appeals to critically thinking people of the 21st century. The curriculum challenges the participants of the study group by interpreting Jesus' death as martyrdom-as a consequence of his life and message. Participant interaction during the workshops provided data which was supplemented by focus groups, natural observation and interviews. Positive mentoring relationships have been initiated that promise to lead to a mentoring culture in the context. This dissertation examines the following: an overview of spiritual growth for individuals and churches, online tools for personal growth, and online environments created by local churches for Internet users. The project then continues with an explanation of research procedure and an argument for the legitimacy of the case study method. He then reports the research formulated by the case studies. All three churches studied are rather large in size, each of them differs in culture and structure. However, there are commonalities in how their online environments facilitate spiritual growth, which supports the hypothesis. From Romans 12:2 the thesis looks at how the church has embraced the patterns of the world and how the process moves them from those patterns towards Christ and his Kingdom values. Two (Action Research) churches went through the Looking process and developed next steps to begin participating with God in mission. With insights from this review and an exploration of pedagogical methods, a mystagogy of the Sacrament of Penance was designed and shared with a group of adult Catholics. The leaders developed three areas listed in Natural Church Development as being critical to a healthy growing church. A survey was conducted and then the leaders made changes to their model of leadership shifting from a 'top-down model' to a model that empowered others and shared authority. A second survey measured congregational responses to the changes.
