This thesis-project deploys an adaptation of Richard Osmer’s four-stage hermeneutical cycle to synthesize pertinent research in the social and clinical sciences, relevant theological literature, and data collected from a novel theological action research initiative designed to include local practitioners in the design, development, and preliminary evaluation of a pilot community mental health program.
