This project undertook an extensive literature review encompassing historical documents, contemporary studies, and scriptural references. Theological foundations were established through an exploration of relevant biblical passages.\r\n\r\nThe project progressed to the development of a training manual aimed at \r\nenhancing leadership awareness of church governance. This manual was  utilized during a three-day virtual session, which replaced the regular in-person WAC General Assembly meetings held three times annually. These sessions focused on biblical governance models and best practices, with the virtual format necessitated by legal concerns and travel logistics, ensuring broader participation and compliance.\r\n\r\nThe effectiveness of the research and the governance manual was evaluated using rubrics, matrixes, checklists, assessment tests, feedback, guides, and analysis frameworks. This project provided a framework for effective church governance and served as a model for other Ethiopian churches seeking to enhance their governance These include the beauty of nature, as I grew up in New Zealand; the beauty of people that I worked or worshiped with in South Africa; but also, the unexpected beauty of pain and struggle, that I experienced in Chicago IL. In each of these places, I find the Lord forming and shaping me, but also bringing healing, for the fear and anxiety which I had experienced for much of my life. The next chapter in the format of a spiritual formation manual, then explores five dimensions of spiritual formation and healing and is geared especially for believers who similarly struggle with anxiety. Paul identifies three of these dimensions in 1 Thessalonians 5:23, where he refers to the “sanctification of body, soul and spirit.” The dimensions of community (or the social dimension) and further, nature or God’s creation are also explored. My final chapter, by way of a field research report, then places further emphasis on the dimension of nature, through a spiritual practice called Scripture and Nature Immersion (SNI). The Foreign Misison Board (FMB), an auxiliary of the NBC-INC, was given the responsibility to implement the initiative. After the FMB gathered pertinent information, it planned and implemented an HIV/AIDS Leadership Empowerment Conference in South Africa July 4-9, 2004. It is written from the perspective that this integration was seen by Murray as consistent with the divine pattern, and that it is the key to understanding the essence of the man and his ministry. The work begins with a brief biographical sketch of Murray's life and career, followed by a survey of the biblical-theological foundation on which his commitment to keeping the two truths of revival and missions together was built. The project then explores Murray's understanding of the church's unhealthy condition, along with his description of what was necessary for her to be restored to health. The section on divine revelation helped students grasp an evangelical view of general and special revelation.  The section of the course on hermeneutics aimed to enable students to utilize the historical-grammatical method of interpretation.  The application section put the previous material to work in assessing the basic claims of five groups: the Pentecostal-Charismatic movement, the New Age movement, Roman Catholicism, Islam, and humanism. The author's interviews with women reveal a great deal of pain and anger over being in such marriages.
