The methodology is action research. Data were collected with the use of participant-observation and in-depth interview. Data were interpreted through two cycles of action research and each cycle included identifying questions, collecting data and taking possible informed action. Through these steps strategies were developed and training program designed to equip the Chinese diaspora congregations in Ukraine. To learn about this, a qualitative narrative approach was used and data was gathered through interviews with eight Ukrainian evangelists. The questions investigated the theological, historical-cultural, and relational contexts in Ukrainian society to understand what is affecting evangelism in Ukraine. The author concluded that there is a good theological foundation in Ukraine, but it is insufficient to result in an evangelical experience.
