A review of literature and the development of a theological rationale was undertaken to determine the effects of divorce on children and how some support groups have been utilized.  The model developed by Rainbows for All God's Children, Inc. was implemented and evaluated. The emotional impact upon children and parents is presented. The biblical-theological foundations of post-divorce adjustment are viewed with the aspect of forgiveness as a primary element in adjustment and decreasing stress in the post-divorce period.  Research was accomplished through a library survey of behavioral science and legal data, along with interviews of family counselors and judges.  A team counseling model is suggested to decrease additional stress in the post-divorce adjustment
