The writer surveyed Korean cognitive processes in literature and in the field. Given the results, guiding principles were developed for effective Bible study materials based on an inductive method. A sample study was developed by applying the guiding principles and tested with two other American curricula for comparison in the field. The result proved that the material was most effective among the three in communication and understanding the content of the message for Korean Christians."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["c654e922-76d0-4427-ac29-e286b7997781"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799717880932073472,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:25:19.822Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:50:05Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:05:53Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"b1ee5d79-8eb1-49da-8392-63f299fcbaf9","accessControl_ssim":["cd3e9e10-7de1-443a-a634-4010eaad4e3b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Models in theological education: the role of the Christian educator at the Pacific Theological College, Suva"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:50:04Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:16:05Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["56501332-c2bc-42d7-8d49-7c10a64c6934"],"hasLease_ssim":["b5f0ee7e-90e9-48f1-8ecc-868d8d81dc04"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pacific School of Religion"],"year_tesim":["1986"],"location_tesim":["Oceania"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Bruce J Deverell"],"publisher_tesim":["Pacific School of Religion"],"subject_tesim":["Pacific Theological College","Educational anthropology","Religious education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The project examines the relationship between models and thinking in theological education from the perspective of the educator. It explores the Pacific island world, analyzes the academic institution and the ecumenical community at the Pacific Theological College, and discusses the kinds of thinking that can be nurtured in the classroom. The project is a disciplined reflection on, and evaluation of, the author's experience in teaching courses in Pacific studies, Christian education, and worship. It concludes that while the nurture of critical conceptual thinking is necessary, Pacific models of thinking need to be rediscovered and reaffirmed."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata
