The experience of inner freedom to become, and the openness to the future, sprung forth out of an exile crisis situation and its healthy resolution.  This is the psycho-spiritual basis for pastoral care ministry. Achieving relationships, boiling down the problem, and coping actively are the phases of a crisis counseling paradigm. Biblical, theological and historical roots of helping persons in need undergird methods and procedures of implementation. Helping and loving for Jesus' sake include counseling, material assistance, and the use of referrals, as opportunity arises (Ephesians 5:16).
