Justification by faith is a social event that joins believers to one another in the saving death and resurrection of Jesus, enabling them to 'welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you'. Reconciliation between the strong and the weak in Romans illustrates the way in which Christ's sacrifice is to be a paradigm for suffering love within the diverse body of Christ. The writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer also suggest that Christians are united not by nature but by grace."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791124969646718976,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:04:41.026Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:14:28Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:34:54Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"5cff2918-0ca5-4ae8-99d4-f72840ee0769","accessControl_ssim":["4fdbb8a3-9e28-43dc-9d66-75d314886043"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A theological perspective on guilt in the horizon of pastoral care and counseling"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:14:27Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:51:50Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2edc1af0-2799-4533-8546-26969958b1ed"],"hasLease_ssim":["44214e24-d5bb-42fe-8a72-6e9e74e08ec4"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Leroy T Howe"],"year_tesim":["1981"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Gert Murr"],"keyword_tesim":["Grace"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Justification (Christian theology)","Greek language","Guilt--Religious aspects--Christianity","Conscience","Law and gospel","Psychiatry and religion","Confession","Pastoral theology","Pastoral counseling","Adams, Jay Edward","Mowrer, Orval Hobart, 1907-1982","Faith","Responsibility","Sin, Original","Psychoanalysis"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this work is to develop a perspective which integrates theological and psychotherapeutical concepts concerning the problem and treatment of guilt. It begins with a critical assessment of the approaches of O. Hobard Mowrer and Jay E. Adams and proceeds to the contemporary proclamation of grace in preaching as well as in counseling, and takes issue corporally with both writers' views of Freudian psychoanalysis. The project seeks to integrate a responsible concept of a doctrine of justification with Freudian psychoanalysis. By restricting the approach to the subject of guilt, the project presents itself as a 'perspective.' it states and defends the divine dimension of the coming Kingdom of God and invites and encourages the individual to accept that dimension of justification by God which spares the person from attempts of self-justification."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126874231930880,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:34:57.380Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":8,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Anita L Stuart-Stevea","hits":1,"label":"Anita L Stuart-Stevea"},{"value":"G Alan Crandall","hits":1,"label":"G Alan Crandall"},{"value":"Gert Murr","hits":1,"label":"Gert Murr"},{"value":"Joseph J Tursi","hits":1,"label":"Joseph J Tursi"},{"value":"Samuel Todd Evans","hits":1,"label":"Samuel Todd Evans"},{"value":"Thomas E Kadel","hits":1,"label":"Thomas E Kadel"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Grace","hits":1,"label":"Grace"},{"value":"Reconciliation (Theology)","hits":1,"label":"Reconciliation (Theology)"},{"value":"Theology, Reformed","hits":1,"label":"Theology, Reformed"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Justification (Christian theology)","hits":8,"label":"Justification (Christian theology)"},{"value":"Theology","hits":4,"label":"Theology"},{"value":"Laity","hits":2,"label":"Laity"},{"value":"Luther, Martin, 1483-1546","hits":2,"label":"Luther, Martin, 1483-1546"},{"value":"Adams, Jay Edward","hits":1,"label":"Adams, Jay Edward"},{"value":"Bible.
