So the project director researched and studied the theory and practical side of this subject. By using the enhanced and studies expository preaching, the project director came up with sermons that reflected the church members present situations and the reality.The expository sermons tried to awaken the Augusta church members, who are living in the post-modernism world and the religious pluralism. Also emphasized about the dangers of the post-modernism generation by helping the Augusta church members that they need to trust the absolute authority of God and that the Word of God should be the center of their life. In order to achieve this goal, the project director used the Old Testament Book of Judges as the background of the messages. Although many of these principles can be used cross-culturally, I chose to research and write specifically in the African-American context because this is my cultural background. There is such a great need for ways, strategies, and ideas that will decrease the divorce rate in this community. The problem with a strict post-modern view is its inability to respond to the enormous amount of hurting family systems in dire need of healing. I strongly believe that marriages and families can improve greatly given the right tools and information. The most effective for clergy and counselors alike in this post-modern era is the model that combines psychological theories with biblical principles. The project examines the development of the unique postmodern perspective on spirituality and how the preacher can speak to postmodern hearts and minds using the textual approaches of Midrash, Lectio Divina, and deconstruction. It culminates in the delivery of a workshop and accompanying workbook for preachers who are interested in using the Revised Common Lectionary to preach to postmoderns, particularly in the setting of the non-traditional church. Longevity in pastoral ministry is rare due to several cultural factors. First, the society of the 21st century is a fast-paced, transient culture. Second, society has evolved from an agrarian culture through the industrial revolution to an information driven technological global village. Finally, there is an increase of anxiety, burnout and spiritual warfare within the pastor's family and in the church. To resolve the problem of the lack of understanding of holiness in one's spiritual journey, a qualitative and quantitative research based on the case study method was used to triangulate the multiple data by interlinking similar themes. The objective of the research develops an innovative theory guiding pastors to preach to their congregation for spiritual advancement.   These findings provided valuable insight to the inner spiritual need of the local church body. The study resulted in the development of a spiritual transformational theory.
