This thesis project addressed this unexpected claim by acknowledging parents as ecclesial leaders of the domestic church and by equipping parents with the practical tools to preach in the home. A preaching method was created based on Mary Catherine Hilkert's work, Naming Grace: Preaching and the Sacramental Imagination. Qualitative research concluded that parents were empowered to preach in the home through this method.
