The stated goal of the project was to include church members with impaired mobility, and nursing home residents unable to attend local fellowships, as ministry participants in a weekly visitation program. Surveys employed to measure the effectiveness of the project's development and implementation provided statistical insight into the effectiveness and feasibility of such an endeavor. A community service model was developed to help promote student volunteering, blood drives, and mission by the local church.  A pilot study using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory showed: 1) levels of anxiety decrease following a blood donation, and 2) the number of previous blood donations decreases the levels of anxiety.  An analogy drawn between the blood donor table and the Table of the Lord demonstrated parallels.
