This paper informs the reader of the literature of church conflict, the definition and causes of conflict, elements affecting the developing conflict and biblical understandings of it.  It concludes with prescriptions for ending the conflict. The most significant conclusion of this work is that a sermon preparation worksheet can be designed and used to help a male preacher be sensitive to women's issues and to preach inclusively.  The author learned that from a women's perspective, relationships are key to preaching and to ministry.  By being sensitive to women's issues in preaching, one is enabled to be faithful to the message and ministry of Jesus Christ. Much of this fear seems to arise from a feeling by lay members that they are inadequate to teach what they and the church believe.  This paper explores this situation, and tries to provide some answers to empower these reluctant potential teachers.  It also presents a program for training laity in the context, purpose and content of Christian religious education.  The processes of emotional, cognitive, moral and faith development in individuals are explored.  Several teaching and learning strategies are presented to enhance the effectiveness of teachers in a congregational setting.  The importance of continuing teacher training events is emphasized. At the beginning of the course students asked questions of God.  These questions were used to structure a curriculum, based on the Bible and life experiences, to answer the questions.  The students were tested at the end of this study to compare what they had learned to what they knew before. By historical analysis, present-day survey and observation, and case studies, the conclusion is that the cultic historic liturgy as the motor which drives parish life leads to strengthened mythos and energized ethos. The specific focus is the 'crying needs of children.'  In worship services, charge conferences, cluster meetings and newsletters, the superintendent shared timely information and challenged the district to address the suffering of children.  She also collaborated with the DCOM and district program coordinator to initiate at the annual district gathering a project to involve local churches, both adults and children.
