If people would focus their prayer lives on evangelism, would they become instruments of good news to others?  Using Terry Tekyl's Personal Prayer-Evangelism Guide in a Sunday school program, participants were asked to pray daily.  To measure evangelistic change, participants answered a questionnaire, once initially, another after the study, and the last twelve weeks later. Positive changes were seen in participants' prayer habits, attitudes, and evangelistic activities. Several theories of grief, both inside and outside of the SDA Church, are briefly explored, thereby developing an understanding of the dynamics of the grief encounter.  Nine grieving individuals of the church founded and formed a grief support group.  For six consecutive weeks they met, and processed their grief pains and acquired insights on being caregivers to other grievers. A model--the scriptural self-analysis--was used to change thought and emotional patterns in a thirty-day program. The theologies of womanhood in evangelical traditionalists, revelationists and modern feminism were taught in eight sessions.  The Tennessee Self-Concept Scale was the instrument of measurement for results. The hypothesis was tested in India by developing and implementing a discipleship training program with mentoring. The project involved training two groups of students called mentoring and non-mentoring.  After fifteen weeks of discipleship training, test scores indicated that the mentored group had an edge over the non-mentored. The author traced the topic through its historical, agricultural, political and theological aspects.  The identity of owner-shepherds as distinct from under-shepherds was developed.  The method of research included interviews with shepherds in the Middle East and the United States, and extensive study and exegesis of the many biblical passages relating to the subject.
