The thesis of this paper is that children can contribute creative ideas which will add new life and interest to the sermons. To demonstrate this, children, ages six to twelve, were engaged in a study of the Scriptures for each sermon. This required a great deal of preparation on the part of the preacher.  The effort was well worth the end results. Project areas are: God's gift of sexuality, the human body, sexually transmitted disease, self-esteem, peer-pressure, concepts of love and decision-making. A two-hour seminar over the manual was held with 113 Christians who wanted to win Mormons.  After a three-month period, the results were collected.  This took place in Santiago, Chile.  Of 55 non-missionary Mormons witnessed to, 24 left Mormonism, 14 were converted and 5 actually joined the Christian workers' churches. Among them is the church which has played a central role in the settlement of Korean immigrants in the United States. Currently, there are over 2,000 Korean-American churches in the United States. Unfortunately, this rapid growth in the number of Korean-American churches does not go hand in hand with the expected level of maturity in church life. Especially, active involvement of church members is not consistent from church to church.  This study takes an approach that development of active involvement of church members is one of the most important tasks of the ministry of pastors. Lately pastors have complained that they are spending a considerable amount of time in post-marital counseling.  This project sought to design and implement a premarital education program to help prepare couples for marriage and reduce the number of hours pastors spend with post-marital care.  The seminars in the model will prepare couples for life's challenges as they learn to develop communication and coping skills. With the aid of biblical resources, a biblical base is set forth in the context of premarital education. However, most Korean Christians seem more interested in the actual practice of prayer than in the theological intricacies it may involve.  Chapter 1 describes the prayer habits of Korean Christians and gives a history of the prayer movements of the Korean Protestant Church from the awakening of 1907 to the present.  A field study conducted to gain knowledge of the present prayer life of Korean immigrant churches in Canada is analyzed in chapter 2.  Theological formulations for the practice of prayer in Christian life, Jesus' teaching and practice of prayer comprise chapter 3.  Chapter 4 suggests ways to help people pray more effectively by reviewing the most important characteristics of Christian prayer. Methodology: A study of baptism includes ancient animist water rituals; biblical and theological covenant background; baptism among Jews and Christians; biblically, theological and psychological examanation of baptism; Reformed/Roman/COCU baptism liturgy; and member ministry. A video tape tool was produced for elders to use with baptismal candidates or parents of infants, and field-tested.  Results: A video instrument can be an effective tool for member ministry in a video-oriented society, developing theological awareness and cohesiveness among church members. Adult children find themselves attempting to balance concern for their parents, their children, and their careers.  With little or no understanding of elder care before it is thrust upon them, adult children need to learn about the physical, emotional and spiritual needs that accompany the aging process.  This project revealed a wealth of information not readily recognized by caregivers. To make the rite meaningful and relevant to the culture of the Hmong the writer used the process of inculturation.  Research on the meaning and method of inculturation helped the writer to discover how to apply it in the case of the Hmong people.  The writer also researched Hmong history through extensive reading, personal interviews of Hmong leaders at Holy Family Parish and participation in their religious and social activities.
