The hypothesis was that the BBFI is a formidable separatist movement, that it reflects the archetypal fundamentalist doctrinal position constructed at the turn of the century, and that its original purpose and identity remain intact. Both historical and empirical research methods were employed. The thrust of the project is to explore ways to encourage and assist state conventions to do the best strategy planning and implementation they are capable of doing.  The design is a mutually accepted document delineating the state convention's approach and plans for language missions work. Interaction took place through regular consultation by telephone, mail and fax correspondence, on-site visits, and national conferences and conventions.  As the leaders struggled to identify their God-given vision, the author encouraged them to expand their horizons by considering creative strategies and establishing significant goals. The issue of giving is one of the most neglected topics in Christian ministry today.  The main objectives of the project included: teaching biblical contents related to the concept of stewardship giving; helping participants actualize monthly tithes or increase monthly giving according to biblical teachings; developing a teaching program on stewardship giving to be incorporated into the teaching system of the church; and, helping the congregation to become more aware of the responsibility of being a steward in the Kingdom of God.  Evaluation results indicated that all objectives for the program were realized. Research includes brief historical overviews of: catechistical methodology from Mesopotamia to present, printed catechisms and educational theory from the sixteenth century, early adolescent learning and memorization theory.  Market research indicated no availability of curricula containing all six important educational elements: question, answer, supporting Scripture verse, Scripture reference, verbal explanation and/or illustration, visual illustration. This project was the development and conducting of national training for potential Laser directors.  Through consultations with experienced national administrators, a survey of state and county mission leaders, and research of existing material, a manual was developed and training was conducted.  Fifteen participants were trained to utilize the knowledge and skills determined essential for directing a Laser project.  Effectiveness was determined by a post-training test and evaluations of participant Laser directors by national and state mission leaders. Even though the Bible does not directly address the question of the ancestor practices, the Scriptures do give guidance to the church of Jesus Christ in dealing with the problems associated with these rites.  The author exegetes passages in the Bible which are relevant to the subject of the ancestor practices and from his exegesis constructs a theology which speaks to major issues faced by Chinese Christians today. Biblical and missiological reflections were supported by a study of the overall and financial status of the Egyptian SDA Church by means of surveys, interviews, charts and graphs.  It was discovered that the Egyptian SDA Church is fast approaching a state of deterioration and decay that must be addressed promptly and reversed.
