In the first workshop, the target group gathered to experience a process of theological reflection on the mysteries of God, Jesus, church and ministry, with an aim to gain an appreciation for pluralism and diversity.  The second workshop was on the development of communication skills (empathetic listening and assertive self-disclosure as vehicles to becoming collaborative).  The Whitehead method of experience in dialogue with the culture and tradition predominated. A great number of people, however, are not being reached for Sunday school because they are not attracted to the traditional approach of many churches. The purpose of this project was to offer an alternative to the traditional class.  Working from the assumption that many people would be interested in Bible study without the pressure of studying quarterlies, reading in class, and answering questions, the author developed the class.  Two methods of study were employed in the development of the class: a study of current trends in evangelism and church growth was conducted; and, an in-house survey of current church members and a survey of the community were conducted. It was discovered during the process that a need existed for an alternative Sunday school class. Corresponding procedures will be graphically represented and adopted by the Foundation administration to be included in the staff procedure manual. In order to help lay people find God's will for their ministry a tool needs to be developed in order to enable the laity to better match their abilities and gifts to ministry opportunities.  The author researched the biblical material concerning God's call and spiritual gifts. The ministry opportunities at Green Acres Baptist Church were then studied, and which gifts matched which opportunities. The author then conducted a ministry discovery workshop to help lay people looking for ministry positions to find them. It was an attempt to examine how character development principles are internalized and integrated.  Participants received guidance for experiencing authentic well-being.  Well-being enables Christians to function in a harmonious and peaceful relationship with God, self, others, and the world. Research revealed a need for seminaries to become more intentional about designing wholistic character development programs, academic and student life programs. The study to validate this thesis was conducted in three Central America countries (Guatemala, Honduras, and Costa Rica) with active pastors and ministerial students.  Seminars, workshops, and seminary courses were used to group pastors and students together.  Questionnaires were handed out to participants to measure their knowledge about chaplaincy ministries. The chaplain's job performance was introduced as a model to illustrate another way in carrying out the ministry.
