Clinical studies and the work of Dr Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and others are utilized to show the physical and emotional effects of grief on individuals, while identifying the stages of grief and personal characteristics needed in a grief ministry.  A long-term approach to the support of the bereaved is advocated.  The project consisted of eight training sessions, concluding with a commissioning service. A quasi-experimental social research design and relevant literary research were used in studying relational evangelism.  The experimental group received the teaching; the control group did not receive any training. Results were compared in pretests and posttests.  It was concluded the Christ did use relational evangelism as a primary tool of evangelizing others.  The adaptation of learnings gleaned from the study was applied to a local church setting. Chapter 2 presents a theological, biblical, and theoretical foundation for this project.  Chapter 3 describes the involvement of the congregation, the development of the research tools, and the implementation of the research design.  The selection of participants for the various parts of the study and the presentation of research data from the churches are highlights of this chapter.  The ministry as conducted is described in chapter 4.  This chapter details the steps involved in the preaching and teaching ministry, and provides the synopses of the sermons preached to the Flint Hill congregation and the lessons taught to the small group. Chapter 5 evaluates the effectiveness of the methods chosen for this project. The two different methods are compared to determine their relative success and to determine the most effective. The implementation section presents a capsule form of the sessions.  Chapter 5 evaluates the project's data collected from interviews, questionnaires and participant evaluation. This project tested the hypothesis that enhanced communication and improved personality awareness among spouses would enrich marriage relationships.  The methodology of this project included theological and social research in the areas of Christian marriage and communication.  Private couple/leader sessions and group sessions were used to implement this project. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, M-BTI Relationship Report, Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis, and Prepare-Enrich Inventory were utilized throughout this project. The biblical foundations for this project were found in the book of Acts generally, and in Acts 13:16-41 and Acts 17:16-34 specifically.  A clustering instrument was utilized to isolate placement.  Focus group interviews and surveys were implemented to define product and promotion. This model is defined in his two books, To Dream Again and Keeping the Dream Alive.  Built upon the theme of the congregation as the people of God, a biblical/historical/theological rationale for church revitalization was established.  Four research instruments were developed and were administered to church members, community residents, and experimental and control groups.  The experimental group was instrumental in implementing this ministry project. The community residents were pretested to determine initial levels.  A one-month intensive marketing campaign followed. Afterward, the community was posttested to determine any change. Intentional visitation ministries to aged shut-ins focus on the emotional and spiritual needs related to their well-being.  A ten-week training program and visitation assignments help equip persons with knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to the priestly function of ministry with the aged and dying.  A training group and control (non-training) group visited two groups of aged shut-ins. Surveys and focused interviews evaluated the effect of the training program.
