A worship committee was organized and instructed in the Presbyterian Directory of Worship.  Surveys were distributed to families and small groups before and after two special worship series, to evaluate the congregation's worship life.  Each series responded to needs expressed in the initial survey. In this study, the writer critically studies the current preaching ministry of the Korean immigrant churches in Toronto, and offers impetus toward the renewal of the pulpit.  Research and interviews were conducted to examine the attitudes of the preachers and the laity toward the preaching ministry of the immigrant churches. However, a careful reading of such books reveals that in a significant instance, most people are not OK. The significant instance involves the feelings persons identify as guilt, and the cause is frequently traced to a lack of understanding of the nature of guilt.  The crucial question addressed in this project is how a model can be established that will enable persons to own their guilt and be led by such feelings to release by experiencing God's grace.  A discussion follows on the genesis of guilt, the ways in which guilt manifests itself, and guilt from theological and psychological perspectives.  The model then examines the genesis of grace, how guilt and grace are held in tension in preaching that is true to the gospel, and how grace is encountered in guilt to heal and restore. A review of the literature, with special emphasis on the spirituality of both AA and the population, tentatively concluded that adaptation was possible and advisable.  A manual was developed to introduce Hispanic pastoral agents to the tenets of AA and was piloted on a group of ten such ministers. The local church and a group of feminist women self-identified as Christian participated in preaching and worship modeled on a community-based format, and on a communal preaching/reflection format.  Data concerning changes in the participants' understandings were gathered through structured questionnaires; each participant from the local church taped an exit interview. A task force of seventy individuals was enlisted by the pastor and given responsibilities; the task force then incorporated an additional hundred and twenty individuals.  Over a period of twelve weeks these people labored to prepare the church and the community for an outdoor crusade.
