Interfaith Ministries is a unique cooperative effort of 30 Christian congregations and one Jewish congregation. Five worship services and sermons were used to test developmental strategies on social-ethical themes. There was steady growth in understanding by facilitator and participants. This project was accomplished by the author with the help of his congregation by developing a statement of mission and purpose.  Goals for continuing ministries developed from that statement then led to the necessity of expanding the facilities and, in this case, completely relocating them. The new facilities were consecrated in June, 1981, with over half of the total cost paid. The hypothesis was:  Effective incorporation and nurture of early adolescents in the Christian initiation process, particularly through preparation for Confirmation, is dependent upon a structured and active involvement on the part of the parents and godparents/sponsors in the faith community of the local parish.  A confirmation program was designed for 6th-graders and their parents.  Two tracks, one for the 6th-graders and one for the parents, ran concurrently during an eight-month period.
